Angel Balderas Obituary, Cause of Death; 33-Year-Old Jacksonville Man Fatally Shot Following Traffic Crash, Suspect Detained

A 33-year-old man was shot and killed late Thursday night following a traffic accident near the intersection of Myrtle Drive and Sam Boles Road, according to the Jacksonville Police Department (JPD).

Authorities responded to the scene at approximately 11:52 p.m., where they discovered a vehicle occupant, identified as Angel Balderas, suffering from a single gunshot wound.

Emergency responders transported Balderas to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Police confirmed that the shooter was detained and questioned at the Jacksonville Police Department, but no charges have been filed at this time.
