Brooke E. Powell, 37, of LeRoy, Illinois, tragically passed away on the evening of February 12, 2025, following a fatal car accident. The collision occurred around 10:18 p.m. on U.S. Route 136 near 2400 East Road, approximately 20 miles southeast of Bloomington-Normal.
According to McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder, Ms. Powell was driving a sedan that collided with a pickup truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to a hospital; however, their condition has not been disclosed. Both drivers were the sole occupants of their respective vehicles.
