Londonderry Fatal Shooting: Heavy Police, Suspect Hurt at Planet Fitness in Londonderry NH

On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at around 5:25 p.m., Londonderry Police responded to reports of gunfire at Planet Fitness on 4 Orchard View Drive in Londonderry, New Hampshire. The incident involved a disgruntled employee who fired a weapon inside the gym. Fortunately, no patrons or staff were injured.

Before officers arrived, the suspect fled the scene, prompting a police pursuit. The chase ended near Winding Pond Road, where a confrontation led to an officer-involved shooting. The suspect sustained critical injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for emergency surgery. No officers were harmed in the exchange.

Authorities have yet to release the names of the suspect or the officers involved. The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office has been notified and is overseeing the investigation, following standard procedures for officer-involved shootings. Residents are advised to avoid the area as the investigation remains ongoing.

This event follows another recent officer-involved shooting in Derry, New Hampshire, where police shot a man after he allegedly attempted to force an officer off the road. That case is also under investigation by the Attorney General’s Office.
